Terms of Service

These terms govern use of GoodWord by business owners who create an account ("you", "Business User"). By using GoodWord you agree to these terms.

The service

GoodWord lets you send review-request text messages to your customers, collect feedback through a public feedback page, and optionally display approved testimonials in an embeddable widget on your own website.

Your responsibilities

  • You must have the legal right to text every phone number you add to GoodWord, including obtaining any consent required by law (see our SMS Policy) — GoodWord does not verify consent on your behalf and collecting it is entirely your responsibility as the business sending the message.
  • You won't use GoodWord to send unsolicited messages, spam, or to any number that has opted out.
  • You won't manipulate which customers get sent a review request based on expected rating (review gating) — every customer who's texted must be shown the same public Google review option regardless of how they rate their experience.
  • You're responsible for the accuracy of your business information and the content of any custom message template.

Subscriptions and billing

  • Plans and pricing are shown on our pricing page and billed monthly via Stripe.
  • New accounts get a 14-day free trial; no credit card is required to start the trial.
  • You can cancel anytime from your account settings — you won't be charged for the next cycle, and you keep access through the end of the period you already paid for.
  • Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

Acceptable use

You won't use GoodWord for any unlawful purpose, to harass anyone, or in a way that damages our ability to send SMS on behalf of other Business Users sharing the same messaging infrastructure. We may suspend an account that puts shared SMS deliverability at risk for everyone else.

Disclaimers

GoodWord is provided "as is." We don't guarantee any particular review volume, rating outcome, or SMS delivery rate — delivery depends on carriers and recipient devices outside our control.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, GoodWord isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Termination

You can stop using GoodWord at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, including sending SMS without proper consent.

Changes to these terms

We'll update the date at the top of this page when these terms change and notify you by email for material changes.
